That should be fine. Lots of cars run that setup just fine. I was planning on doing something similar.

A capacitor just keeps the flow of power constant. Keeps the subs from taking took much power an dimming lights and such. You'll need it if you have a really powerful setup, like over 1200 watts (and thats a good company's wattage that doesn't overrate their stuff).
