Tire Pressure Monitor

There's been a few threads about this already but my question is somewhat different. It might seem obvious to most but I want to make sure my orientation is right.

LF = driver side front and RR = passenger side rear.

There seems to be an inconsistancy between my manual tire guage and the reading on the TPMS. The TPMS shows the tires on the LF and RR as being low and the other two tires as being somewhat high. My manual tire guage shows the LF and RR as being somewhat high and the other two tires as being somewhat low.

I suppose a third test with another guage might be helpful....

Possibly, also if your tires have been rotated and the tire pressure monitor has not been recalibrated it will show the pressure for the incorrect tire.

Though mine do seem to read 1 or 2psi+/- of the gauge I have.

I make sure by running 4 lines one to each tire from the same source. This way you are garanteed that all tires are equal. Even then the tire monitors read different from each other by +/- 2psi.

Thanks Fr...I didn't read it carefully yet but the manual looks like it has the instructions for TPMS relearning after rotation...and yeah..I've been rotating the tires...front to back about every 6k or so.

Yah it only cost me about 20$ in parts, I already had the pressure gauge.
As soon as you connect the last valve all four tires equalize. You can inflate all four tires at once with the valve I mounted on the front of the gauge. Or you can connect your air hose directly with the quick disconnect.
