I'm acutally cutting into mine this Satrday and buildin a custom trunk. IMO, I would have made the MDF the box and screwed the speakers into it rather than putting it in front of the existing box. You might get a lot of vibration the way you have it. But I love what you have done with it. Lets me know that there is room in my trunk to play with hahaha. I was pissed when I couldnt fit my standard sized box with 2 12"s in the truck cause the opening was interely too small. But it opened doors for new possibilties!!!!


+1 on the trunk though. Looks nice!

what about the rest of the trunk? all the space behind the box, or does the box extend all the way to the back of the backseats? if not i would push the box back and give the subs some more air

The box is up against the back of the seats. My subs need 1.5 cu ft per sub after speaker and port displacement, so the box is huge. It's worth it for the sound tho.
