Started my custom trunk

Well I started on my custom trunk today. It's just a rough fit so far and I have an idea os what I am going to do in the large empty space above the subs, but I think it looks good so far. Let me know what you guys think. The first pic is what it looked like when I started.

Looks good so far, I would make a display spot for the Amps, and add some Neon's and Monitors. I am curious though, are you keepsing the backseat or is that eventually going for more modding? Mine is gonna go, but thats a different post for a different time. Any thought on colors yet?

are those 15's? looks good and has lots of potential but with that much partical board covering up the gaps, wheres all the air going to move? are you going make a port so it flows into the cabin? might sound like a distorted mess.

Nope, no fiberglass. I just wanted something low-key, not outrageous. And yes, it's already ported. The whole setup is being tuned for SQ, so don't worry about the sound, lol. As far as a display spot for the amps, that's gonna be a part of phase 2. The amps are gonna be flush mounted into the backs of the back seats, so when the seats are laid down they are visible. Yes, right now it looks like crap cause it is just bare wood, but it is all gonna be vinyled wrapped with LED's and plexiglass still to come.

sounds like it'll look good. just hope the gaps between the boards and the trunk dont cause sound problems.

well with that said hope everything turns out good. i had this idea for your setup with lighting, with that small space that you have inbetween your speaker box and board you could put some neons or cathods that light up when the bass hits, lets say red, and the rest of trunk lit up in blue so you'll have a red outline around your speakers and port. just a thought.

I like that idea. I may have to look into it after I finish the couple things I have planned
