so if I don't have power lock can I just skip them, or does it need to have them hooked up?

Edit: I got a kit with the solenoids.

no you wouldn't have to use the locks. But if you are adding actuaters (solnoeids) or whatever, you will have to add relays. 2 to be exact. It would be a 5-wire setup.
