Actually, making a switch wouldn't be hard at all. You would just need to put a switch on the remote turn on wire which is only a 18-16 gauge wire. We do that for ppl all the time where I work when we install multiple amps and stuff. Like if they're running 4 subs, 2 to each amp, we will run a switch on the remote wire for each amp so they can run only what they want. Takes about 30 seconds to do.

thats what i was thinking of doing. i might do that when i put my other head unit in. right now i have speaker level inputs hooked up to the back speakers to get my signal and turn the amp on and off and all that. so for now i just turn the bass way down haha.

looks nice! The only reasons i didnt go with a box is the loss of trunk space and i dont know the math behind making it.

i got the box before anything. i got it from best buy real cheap. it was a display box for awhile so i got it for 40 bucks. its a q logic sealed box. it normally goes for about 100. good deal huh? haha

those are nice but i run 4000 watts with my 15s with no problem other than the lights dim a bit when i have it up to like 38 or higher

on the note of the swith, it will work, i just did this today. Hook it up to the remote section as ur saying, but on the switch it goes one side is for the accessory (remote wire coming from amp) and the positive (comes from power terminal on ur amp) then ur done, it should work after that.
