I have a bone stock stereo in my 07 LS. Does our factory CD play head unit have RCA AUX outputs in the back? Id like to put 1 12in kicker with a small amp just for some added bass so i didnt want to have to purchase a new head unit b/c i really like mine. Also does anyone know which wire that comes off the head unit I should use to power the remote wire for the amp? Thank you very much.

Actually, it's sometimes called a hi/low adapter. It doesn't filter anything.
They're also known as line-out converters or line-output converters., among other names. As for the remote wire, you can technically tap into the something at the fuse box, or you can buy a line-out converter that actually creates a remote-turn on for you. Check it out: Peripheral Electronics SVENR They have the owners manual and product info on the site. Pretty handy little device.

That should work for the line-out solution, but you still need to grab a signal for your remote turn on. Since it's such a low amperage signal, a (usually) easy spot to grab it is at the ciggy lighter. This is also generally safe as the ciggy lighter is not (usually) tied into any of the complicated electronics. Do make sure to put a 1-amp fuse on the line though. The wire doesn't carry much current, but it can still short out and damage either the amp or any other in-line circuit.
