Remote wire

Im about to install my system using the loc 80 line out converter. would it be less distortion or "better" if i installed the loc 80 behind the stereo in the dash or should i just tie it into the speakers in the back? Also which color wire on the factory stereo is the remote that im supposed to tie into to turn the amp on. I really want it to be tied in to the stereo, i dont want a toggle switch hooked into the fuse box or ne thing like that. Thanks for your help

I just installed my amp last week using a hi-level input! I spliced the wires on the rear speakers and double sided taped the unit to the top of the trunk....worked out well! And for the remote wire, I ran it from the fuse panel inside the car (right side of the radio) and just wrapped a wire around the 10AMP windshield wiper fuse....anything with switched power will work! I ran it under the carpet, under the right side sill, and under the rear seat to get to the trunk. Just running the remote wire took about 5 minutes. And for the loc 80....make sure you solder the wires so your rears don't kick out!!

Hope this helps!

Jbea.....did you get any added distortion or unclear sound using the line out connecter? Ive never used one before. Ive always had a after market deck with rca hook ups. This would be my first install with the LOC. Hopefully i can get to install it tomarrow, im still waiting on some parts in the mail.

When you use one of those, every time your subs hit, it sends back to the speakers you spliced in to causing the cone to push out (reverb effect). UNLESS.....you buy a good one! Nothing under $40 and you should be ok....no distortion here at all!
