Shame it wont work on the 08's (7mm). Bought one of the antennax antennas off ebay and the damn thing has to have the adapter on, sits about 1/4" up and looks stupid.

You're right -- I thought it would go on my 07 SS/NA...that's when I discovered the 07s have the 7MM thread...LOL! I sent them an e-mail asking if they would look into making some shortys with 7 MM threads...that was a year ago and ...nothing.

I did't think the look was that "badass". Average at best. Am not a fan of the thick look. I like the shorted look, but the thinner look. Where the stock unit will flex when needed any short rigid unit will definitely bend your fender around the base. All at takes is one moron to walk by and give it a smack, either playing or for meaness and something will "give".
I don't live in the sticks or in a large town or city. I saw no difference in reception. But with XM/Sirius and ipod/MP players being mainstream, AM-FM's popularity is waning very quickly.

Yup I emailed them too, nothing back. Customer service doesnt mean shit to these folks, just the bottom dollar, how sad.

FYI- for those of you who own an 07 or newer, dont even bother with them.
