5W-20 Instead of 5W-30

I recently did an oil change in my 2005 Chevy Cobalt (base model). I always use full synthetic. I accidentally grabbed 5W-20 and 1 quart of 5W-30. When I did the oil change, I caught the mistake but used the quart of 5W-30 first then finished with the 5W-20. Will this hurt anything until my next oil change or should i get drain it back out and get 5-30??

DRAIN IT IMMEDIATELY ELSE YOU'LL SEIZE THE ENGINE AND WILL HAVE EXPENSIVE REPAIRS $$$$$

Nah, it won't do anything bro, that's just the velocity it flows at when it's hot.. not recommended but it'll work. Personally I'd just go to walmart, grab a 5qt jug of Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 5w30 oil for like $22 bucks and change it... tip for the future, don't buy oil in quarts if you're doing a full oil change, will cost you much more than a 5qt jug. Quarts are like what... $6 each? Figure $6 x 5qts = $30/5quarts. 5qt jug at walmart of Mobil 1 = $22 so there you go, save 8 bucks you can use towards a filter.

You save unless there is a special going on.... I just got 5 quarts for Castrol GTX 5w30 for $10.00 and the 5 quart jug was $13.50....

Don't know much about normal oil, I know that's how synthetic goes... compared it at Napa, national auto, advance auto parts and walmart. Getting a 5qt jug at walmart came out to the best price.

Since the question was answered, I got my oil changed at the dealer and it was changed to 10W-30? Opinions on this?

Tom.

Yeah, it's ghey... 10 is the rate it'll flow at while car is cold... so don't take off while engine is still cold.. I run 0W30. I'm an EMS so when I'm on call, often I don't have time to warm up and just hop in the car and go, hopefully 0 flowrate will help my engine from getting worn out much from cold runs.
