with today being a nice day, or at least it was, i decided i would spend my day off doing something to my car. i've been wanting to paint the front and rear pillars for a little while now but kept putting it off so i figured why not do em today? i went to the garage and dug out a torx screwdriver [or whatever its called] and a tiny flat-head screwdriver and took the "airbag" caps off the driver side rear pillar. upon doing so i got shards of glass raining out from under the little cover. wtf. so i put the glass in a cup and figured i'd just start on the other side instead. i took that cover off and more glass falls out. at this point im getting a bit annoyed so i decided to pull at the corners of the seats and what do you know...holy busted glass!! guess i know where the glass in the trunk is coming from. now i bought this car knowing it has been in an accident, so i really can't be too upset...but shouldn't someone have cleaned that up while repairing the car?? a friend of mine helped me get the seat bottom out [i couldn't get it to save my life] and found a LOT more glass, some change along with torn pieces of paper [possibly junk mail from previous owner], straw wrappers, a tiny toy dog...oh and can't forget the bit of tree bark logged in the rear pillar where the gray piece meets the black piece! i now assume the car hit a tree...or a tree hit the car [hey, ya never know] now there's no real point to my thread but i suppose i can call it minor venting. let me just ask this, has anyone else found any interesting things in their used car? if and when i ever get those gray pillars off there's still a bunch of glass behind those, which can be seen if looking at the right angle

^^chunk of glass sticking out from under airbag cover

^^at least i was able to get those tabs back in. bought the car like that, didn't even notice til i got it home.

^^under the airbag cover...what is that?? is that a coupe thing because those weren't on my sedans rear pillars? i thought there was a screw?

^^glass under seat

^^thats all of it so far. btw, the end of screwdriver is covered in tape in case anyone was wondering. i was trying to get the glass out with that but wasn't working out too well lol
