Crashed the Cobalt :(
Hey guys and gals.
Bad news. I got in a nasty accident the other day. Let me give you the lowdown. I pulled onto a 2 lane highway and was doing about 45 mph. I spot a large suv pulling from a gas pump and getting ready to cross the road. So I keep an eye on her. But of course, she looks the other way and just pulls out. By the time this was happening, I was merely 10 ft away and I had no chance to react. I had been doing about 50. I had no seatbelt on. I was in a hurry for an appointment and didnt even think about it. I slammed into her. Going from 50 to 0 in about a second. The impact threw my head across to the rear view mirror. Knocked it clean off and broke the glass. I got out and there was blood just pouring out of my head. I went over to see if the other driver was ok. She was. But i was still bleeding bad. So i got rushed to the ER to get patched up.
I only have one pic right now.

Glad your ok!!! cut up, but ok. What did the cop say? Was a police report filed?

that damage looks pretty involved. hood, bumper, fender, probably a few supports, may have even dimpled the radiator.

Agreed that's the first thing I do when i get in the car.
Hell there's even times i move the car 2 feet in the driveway like when i move it because cutting the grass and i put it on.
It just gets to be habit to put it on as soon as your in the car regardless of why your in the car.

The seatbelt was stupid on my part. The other driver is at fault. She pulled in front of me and didn't look. I have a ton of witnesses. Since it was in front of a sonic and a gas station. All of the workers saw it.
