16? do what you want just dont make ur car a target for cops. loud exhaust, underglows, stuff like that. Youll be sorry. And as for the sedan there is nothing wrong with it. I wish i knew who had the sedan on thsi site, one of the nicest looking cobalts was a 4dr. He had the SS bumper high profile wing, halos. With the right work you can make it look good.

not that my car isnt a target for the cops, with the body mods, and custom exhaust, i have no issues, and last two times, cops pulled me over to seriously admire the car, it's the truth.

okay, i will make a correction.

i got stopped at a check stop a couple nights ago, on my way home, and the cop wasnt too impressed with the sound of my car. I told him i work in an exhaust shop, and will have it fixed asap. drove home with that warning and a threat of $115 ticket for an oversized muffler. now tell me, does a cherry bomb and str8 pipe class as an oversized muffler?

I can imagine that setup would be obnoxiously loud, so yeah maybe it is illegal as far as your areas noise laws go. I think CA has a 98 decibel limit on exhaust systems. That's why I love my GMPP system, it's from a major manufacturer which means the quality and sound output are tough to beat.

but nothing beats a truly custom job. I can fight any exhaust ticket in court with the fact my muffler is not oversized, and the volume level is below legal standards.

I have a sedan and i love it.It gives you more of an opportunity to stand out and do something diff tht maybe the coupe guys wouldnt. Anyway, im more about the look than the performance. Especially with the 2.2 tht i dont plan on having in my garage with "classic" tags yrs to come. Im 18 and struggling enough money wise in college, i bought things for my car tht i regret and wish i would have went another path with, but its a learning experience. I suggest starting off with small mods tht you take part in rather than throwing your money over to someone who will just simply give you an attachment that most people have. Sorry if im rambling, im in a talking mood and after 5 hrs of chemistry calculations I am going crazy!

PS-welcome to the site
