Colbalt LT/SE
Just Bought an 08 Colbalt LT with the Special edition package.
I set out to just get the LT pkg in the first place looking to spend around 15-16k. The Special Edition had the stripe/ chrome tip and a little nicer looking wheels and interior then other LS and LT's I looked at. Would I like to have an SS...YES. Is the SS way faster...YES. Was the SS out the Door no money down in my price range...NO. But with the money I saved I am looking at doing some real nice performance upgrades this spring. Still trying to figure out how to post pic's.

Let me know if this works.
Will get interior pic's as soon as it quits pouring down rain here. And just so you are not shocked, the interior may not be that special, like I said it just looked better to me then the other cars they had to choose from, and they were 1 pc 16" wheels not the 15's with steel rims and bolt on hubcaps. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...Picture807.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...Picture809.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...Picture806.jpg |

Well those stripes look like the ones off the cavaliers that they tried to pull off as a special edition. Nice car, the interior is probably close to being like the SS's, I know that watching a 2008 Cobalt promo on the auto channel on demand they had the top models looking almost just like an SS on the inside, kinda sucks, now I have to do some stuff to make it stand apart, aside from LSJ under the hoody.

I personally think that the wheels look horrible on the RS eddition. And its like an additional $2000+ for just the wheels alone....

The "special edition" Cobalts that most dealers have are actually called "Revolution Edition".
I t was a special package installed AT THE FACTORY from September to Decmeber 2007 production. It has a retail price of $995, and its on the FACTORY sticker, its not an addendum from the dealer. It was available ONLY on 2008 1LT Coupes and Sedans(sedans didnt get stripes) It Included 16" alloy wheels(4 lug), 205/55-16 Touring tires, rear spoiler, trunk badge, black or silver stripes on coupe, chrome exhaust tip, and antilock brakes. antilock brakes are $400 and the spoiler is $275, so for an extra $325 you get alloy 16's(which arent an option otherwise) and stripes and badge. If you dig the stripes or wanted 16's its the way to go. Cheaper than buying your 16" tires and getting the computer calibrated. Plus you get wheels free! Maven added 2 Minutes and 36 Seconds later... These are the names of the Custom Decal Packages available over the counter or dealer installed, they are all just sticker packages and none of them include the classic "SS" over the top style stripes.
