Cigarette lighter socket question.

Hello All,
My 07 Cobalt has two cigarette lighter sockets, one below the radio and one in the center console. The socket below the radio is dead, no power. The socket in the center console works fine. I checked with ignition on and off and the socket below the radio is always dead. I checked the wires that lead to the socket behind the radio panel and they are connected fine.
Does anyone have any guidance for me? I have not found a fuse in the passenger fuse box that is for the sockets. Is there one there? I did find a fuse labeled CIGAR in the engine compartment fuse box but it was fine. It was only 5 amps which puzzled me. I checked it and the fuse is good. I suspect there is a larger fuse somewhere.
Thank you all for any suggestions you may have. Ken

should be in the kickpanel inside the car, for all interior electronics are located there. Take a test light, and check all the fuses.......one has to be out.

Cigarette lighter socket question.

I had the same problem. I looked all over and found hundreds of posts with the same problem. No solution. The fuse is NOT located by the passenger seat but located under the hood. It is a 15 amp fuse labeled cigar.

Hope this helps
