So....who saw Knight Rider?

I saw the new Knight Rider the other day. Im not sure what to think about it though. Granted the GT500KR is a good looking car but the fact that it almost completely bastardizes the original bothers me a bit. And the acting wasnt that great either.

Plus the whole thing seemed like one big Ford commercial, seeing as how the only car not Ford or Ford controlled was the bad guys Denali. And lastly, who the helll ever heard of a focus keeping up with a GT500?!

Did kind of enjoy the plot though, and i got all excited when i saw the old KITT in the beginning, though he didnt have any real role.
Oh and i love Val Kilmer as the voice of the new KITT.

So what are you guys' thoughts, or is no one else that big of a fan?

I liked it and hope they go with the series, but they probably won't because every show I like seems to get camcelled.

No, there is almost definitely going to be a series, there were too many things hinting at one at the end of the movie for there not to be one.

The series won't last though. Can't really say why I just don't think it will catch on with the majority of the general public.

On a side note though....... Shouda got rid of that double decker wing it didn't flow at all......

Totally disappointed!
The acting sucked. And I think they could have done a whole lot better with the CGI and special effects.
The Hasselhoff cameo was cute, and the story line kept me in it all the way through.
If they do go with a series, they need to make some changes, or it just won't last.

I'm old enough to remember the original series, and I gotta tell you, it sucked too! I thought the original KITT Firebird/Trans Am was cool, but the stories and the acting in the original series were bad, and Hasselhoff was a bad actor then too! So, let's just say I think the new movie/series is in the spirit of the original, but like somebody said before, the new one is just one big Ford informercial! And please.....an Edge keeping up with a GT500KR on twisty mountain roads? I know it's TV, but come on......at some point there's got to be some truth!
