Check Engine Light on

I bought a Cobalt LS yesterday and after gunning it a couple of times the check engine light came on. I opened my manual to read about it and it says with after market additions to the engine and new tires can make the check engine light turn on. This particular cobalt has a cold air intake and racing tires and rims on it. So should I be worried and have it checked out or should I expect the check engine light to turn on?

I would just check all your connections on the cold air intake. What year is the cobalt?
