What is the AEM unit? The Fuel/Ignition Controller on their website?

Correct me if im wrong, but i swear i saw a 2.4 TB adapter kit for an LS1 throttle body. Any thoughts?

Hmmmm don't know about that one. An LS1 throttle body is wayyyyy bigger than a 2.4. We are talking a difference between a 2.4 4-cylinder and a 5.7 liter V8. Airflow would be kinda iffy especially with no tuning.

I don't know how I missed this thread but I'm here now. Gibby you had it right early on man, as usual, if you go with the bigger TB you are just decreasing the density of the charge once it hits the TB. Ideally the entire intake system should stay one size to keep a nice even flow. Having the TB larger then the intake and then having it narrow again going into the manifold can throw sensor readings off and cause some pretty tricky issues with throttle response, tuning, etc etc. To the original thread starter, if you are going turbo just chill out on all intake and exhaust system mods. Chances are they will all be wrong once you get the turbo installed. Find the turbo you want to use and build around that. As an aside, you can probably modify the stock TB to get a good deal more cfm. I haven't looked into this because my cobalt is my daily driver so I'm not going crazy with it, but you'd be amazed at how much you can pick up by porting and polishing everything you can in the intake and exhaust sytem, this includes TBs. For example on our 90mm we are using on our LS1 I polished the inside as well as cut the rod on the butterfly valve to decrease turbulence. Throttle response was clearly better which is really saying something on a car making a ton of hp. Granted this option may not be possible to the Cobalt owners but you could at least polish the inside for a smoother flow.
