Heres what i did.. to me a WAI (or short ram intake) is bringing air out of the engine bay anyways, then what i did does the same thing without getting anything aftermarket. i took the top part of the air filter off, took the filter out, and unbolted the piece that was under that and drilled holes where air could get into it easier. It sounds like a dumb idea, and when my friend said i should do i thought it was dumb. he did it to his truck and it made it sound alot better when you get on it. after you do it, and you get in the higher RPMs you can hear a difference. the holes are about an inch wide. i left that stock tube in there also so now since the holes are in it, it doubles the amount of air you got going in. since i got my exhaust too it at least makes it sound alot better.
