Thats the one right there. I guess that they didn't change the design yet. I haven't talked to JET yet, but I read in another forum that JET is releasing some "revised" parts for the cobalt. New design? I hope so.

The sad fact is that the people that you talk to on their "Tech Line" aren't all car nuts. Some are there for the job...I could tell you stories about the people that sell "performance parts" at parts houses. One guy I met got the job because he saw a box fall out of a delivery truck, picked it up, took it back to the performance shop, and was asked if he wanted a job -- and took it -- as the "Tech guy" answering the phone.

10708 is the stage 1 for 2.4 2007-2008 10708S is the stage 2 for the 2.4 2007-2008. I have the 10708 stage 1 module.

you dont have to start with the stage 1. it just depends on what mods you have or how fast you plan on modding your car.

if you have some intake, exhaust and/or some other mods, go straight for the stage 2. or if you plan on getting any of those in the near future.

but if your still basically stock then start with the stage 1

i kinda like the feedback that you guys are providing with this but i still think im going to end up getting a canned tune from trifecta. because this doesnt change shift firmness or anything does it? and i plan on doing a motor build and adding a turbo within the next 2-3 years and i dont think this could compensate for something like that

No it doesn't change shift firmness... you have to get the B&M kit for that. If you are going with a motor build and turbo etc. I would go with the Trifecta tune as this module even with the Stage 2 probably won't add much or even help if you are going that far into your engine performance. I am running the Stage 1 and plan on getting a full exhaust done this Spring. So I will jump to the Stage 2 module and a full CAI, probably Injen.

yea i have the B&M kit but i dont really care for it. i want even firmer shifts. so ill probably just stay with getting that canned tuned from trifecta. i do like the results you guys are getting with these but for what im doing to my balt, i dont think its best for me

and def get the injen if your going CAI

Tell me about it. I called..........TWICE, and I did not get an answer on the phone!! I'll have to wait until next week to try again, when I'm on afternoon shift.

OK, I talked to a tech guy, he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about. He told me that their "donor" cobalt had the up&down configuration, so they assumed that that's how it is with all of them. When they learned that this is not true, they began redesigning the chip.

Basically, they're trying to flip the chip around so that the part that sticks out will be on the other side, not interfering with the 2nd connector. He doesn't know exactly when this will be done, but I'm hoping soon.....................

Hopefully soon for you guys with the side-to-side connectors. They've known about it for at least a year now. As long as their sales of the current module is high enough that they knew they would make some money on it -- that is what will help them make the decision on whether or not to redesign it.
