With the Stage 2 it's a gain of about 25hp so it says. I was lookin at these at work (Advance Auto Parts) and it was pretty much competitive with the prices ya'll are mentioning and I don't have to pay shipping. But I was also lookin that SuperChips makes a plug-n-play for our cars as well....just have to specify the year and what not. I think that's pretty cool. I'm gonna investigate more into that one.
My Cobalt runs at 195-200 degrees. A 180 thermostat would be considered very "cool" by today's standards. Does yours run at 180?

A 180 degree thermo is pretty standard on performance vehicles.
160-170 is "cool".

Well I was at work lookin up the thermostat for my '07 and it only lists a 180 degree thermostat as the OE one...and didn't list a 180-160 degree for optional thermostats.

I wouldn't either...but there are some ppl that believe that 170 or even 160 is better for some vehicles. But I myself think it's not quite smart cuz it can make some cars run funny.

160 is good for a mustang running 8psi on a s/c...not for a cobalt. our cars are meant...no scratch that..need to run at a high temp for economy reasons. so it would not be wise to go bellow 180

Got a little off topic...lol! Been running the Jet module for more than a week now -- no issues/problems. MPG is down a bit but I think it is more my foot then the module..lol.

Come on, educate us! HPTuners doesn't come with directions for tuning a Cobalt so give us the low-down on spark timing, A/F ratios...you know, all the details. I've also read posts where a Cobalt owner let someone "else" (knowledgable tuner?) tune their Cobalt and ended up having to take it back to the dealer to get it reflashed so it would run -- so let us know how to reset the ECM in case that happens too.

This is an alternative to "tuning". Besides, it's not so easy to tune your own car and the cost is a heck of a lot higher for everything you need to start out with HPTuners. Do you have HPTuners or do you just not have anything constructive to post? If you do have HPTuners start a post that informs others on what you need and how to do it. I am tired of posters saying "a tune is better" -- when 99.9% don't even no what they're talking about.
