i always thought torque made the wheels spin, i must be one crazy mofo
when it comes to building a "race car" or a "street car" its go big or go home, because if you cant/wont drop real money to do it right, your going to blow somthing up that will probably cost more that it would to do it right the first time moral of the story, listen the IMADreamer and find someone who can really tune, and set up a date. none of this knock-off tune shit |

My module is working well so far. Thanks for providing me with the reason to address this some more....I took the module out just to see if I was sure there was a difference and it only took one trip. The loss of power (especially low-end) made it easy to tell that this thing works well on my 2.4L engine. I have no doubt that it would do the same for a 2.2L! Why is it so hard to believe that Jet Chip could make a device (basically a piggyback) that works? I'd rather go with Jet Chip then someone I just met that says they can tune my car with their HPTuners they just bought. I know of a Cobalt owner that had his SS 2.4L tuned and had to take his car back to the dealer to get it to run. Why don't you go find a tuner, pay them $250-$350, and report back to everybody on your own thread about it? Don't forget that if you need to take your Cobalt in to the dealer for servicing they might reflash it if they have an updated tune -- make sure the tuner that tunes your car will retune it if that happens. I can take the module off and reinstall it anytime -- you'd have to find your tuner and shell out some more money.

So in the end you spend more just tuning the car, while the jet chip which is 239 dollar range, and it gives you at least 13 to 15hp gain from what jetchip claims, and I am sure they're not lieing, also the jetchip working well with other after market parts if you go with stage 2 for about 10 or 20 dollars more at a automotive store,I think that is a steal for the price and having that chip working with other after market parts. Why does everyone say its a ebay chip? Are people that lazy to even look up www.jetchip.com,there I even put down the website for people so they can look it up.The jetchip looks similiar to what the pcm or ecu same shit looks like, its not a resistor, where its a small box with two wires from one end out the other, for the way the the thieves on ebay has it.

Without getting into Jetchips at all you are comparing a static chip that provides a "tune" for your car for 239$. This "tune" is not made for your car or your mods but is a VERY general "tune" which may or may not be accurate. With a system like AEM FIC or whatever you atleast get adjustability for your car albeit not much and not very precise. With a suite like HP tuners you get to change any and all parameters that deal with your car that you want to, and as much as you want to, and for your car and it's mods. This provides and extremely accurate calibration for your specific set up. The bottom line is there is no substitution for a tuning suite. This has been said before and I think most get that, what scares the shit out of me is people like you saying "well hell the jet chip is cheap and they say I get 15hp That's better then a tuning suite which costs three times that and I have to learn stuff with it." That's just ignorance at it's finest. You want 15hp get a header. I find it funny that you call people "lazy ass" because you claim we are too lazy to look at jet chips site yet you are basically copping out by saying you are too damn lazy to do the work and learn about tuning. This jet chip is all fine and dandy now, but beware, ESPECIALLY you people in northern states because come this fall when it's summer one day and cold as hell the next the shit will start hitting the fan and we will see how good this jet chip is. Like I said before, do yourself a favor and get a wideband AFR gauge.
