Universal Turbo kit

Has anyone ever seen these kits?

The universal kit can be remote mounted almost anywhere, if you look through the pictures there have a couple Balts with the kits one of the Balts even has the turbo all the way in the back near where the stock muffler output would be. Interesting to look at just wondering about the security of the system and how you keep water and other junk out of the turbo. Also kinda wondered about the distance the charged air would have to travel to get to the intake this way. Anyone thoughts on this type of install would be much appreciated.

An externally mounted turbo would worry me. Too much exposure to the elements, plus extra lag from being set so far back from the engine. Though the temperature outside the engine bay would be a benefit, that would be a big waste of money when a high speed rock flies through your impeller.

Ive seen some guys from Horsepower TV put one of those on a corvette. There wasn't much lag in the turbo, and it was able to mounted virtually anywhere underneath the car with even a sheild of some sort to protect it from rocks and debris.
