I may have my polarity bass akwards in my explanation, but: inside each of the blue wires you see pictured is a negatively charged phosphorus chemical.... and running down the middle of that is a super thin positively charged wire---commonly referred to as the "angel hair" wire.... HOW DID I GET THE WIRE BETWEEN THE DOORS?--I ran it from the dash, secured it, wrapped around the front door, and then into the rear door.... but keep in mind I had quick connects/disconnects soldered in..... so behind each door panel is a connection to allow easy removal of panels without ripping any wires out. I hope that helps explain, if not please explain in more depth your question and I would be happy to answer. ---------- Post added at 11:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:10 PM ---------- Quote:
I understand the concern, really..... but keep in mind that this car is supposed to POP at night, not during the day.... suits me just fine. I will agree that during the day its not the best looking, if someone wants to be anal and take a super close look at it..... but it wasnt meant to be oogled during the day anyway..... As for why i didnt wet sand.... this being one of my first few mods, i was worried about the door, and sanding in general....... maybe i will wetsand, but right now its still fresh, new, and sexy in my eyes and mind...... besides, if i did want to wetsand, i would have to debate either ripping out the insert and fighting adhesive to get it secured back on properly, or worry about accidently damaged the rest of the door panel sanding or having paint "run" if i keep it attached. OVERALL i think its great, wether some think its not professional looking enuff or not, a lot of time was taken so it was done to what I believe to be a job well done....... and lastly... i said before, looks like poop in the day, sexy by night..... But ive done some nice things to the exterior to help with that

wow...this is a embarassment to cobalts everywhere...why would you do a half ass job on something that costs thousands of dollars. if your going to do something do it right the first time..it will cost you more time/money in the long run to go back and fix...not to mention its going to hurt the chances of selling the car.
not trying to start crap...just a helpful word of advice.

So SportLT Know it all.... were is the "professional shop" that would install said EL Wire costing thousands of dollars? As for doing it right the first time..... please enlighten us all on how a professional would install EL Wire and how its SUPPOSED to look? More time and money to go back and fix....... um...... fix what? Hurting the chances of selling my car?--Sedan TC, modded like crazy...... highly doubtful. I will be sure to check your show off, or garage and see what kind of car your rocking...... you know.... a pro.
