I was thinking about doing this but instead of going black I was thinking about painting them my factory exterior color. How do you guys think that would turn out? O by the way my Balt is the darker red one. Maroon I guess...lol

i think that would look great. i saw a yellow z06 corvette that had his headlights painted yellow. and it looked real good, i dont see why red wouldnt look good. i say go for it!

But I wouldn't just go over the silver, it may not match, might kinda look like red silver (if that makes sense) I'd put a primer on first.

How do I get the headlight out? I removed the two bolts and tried to wiggle it out but it didn't seem like it would come out.

You remove those two bolts, then you kind of pull out on the outer edge while pushing in on the the other side of the light. just kinda screw around with it. its tricky but they come out fairly easy once you manoeuver it right.

Done this a few times myself replacing bulbs. It will help IMMENSLY if you remove the upper corner plug from the grill where it meets the headlight. Its kinda like a plastic plug and the center of it has this little thingy you pull up on to get it out. Not a technical explanation I know, but if you see it you'll know what I mean. Once you get it out, it will give you some extra room to play with in getting the headlight out.
