I personally would take of one of the letters that describe your car LS/LT/etc and see how well it looks after you take the sticky crap off and clean the area, if it looks good - DO IT

Here is a step by step of my white one.... P.S. DO NOT USE SOME TYPE OF SCRAPER JUST USE YOUR NAIL AND A RAG AND REMOVER! IF SOMETHING GETS ON THAT SCRAPER I WOULD HATE TO SEE SCRAPES ON MY CAR OR IF YOU DO IT TOO HARD ITS GOING TO SCRATCH THE HECK OUT OF YOUR PAINT!

Can I use this to remove the "LT" only and leave the "cobalt"?

Yeah I don't like the LT there, so i'm going to leave COBALT and also remove those annoying stupid little GM tags from the side. Then I want to paint over the bowtie or whatever its called. do you know what paint i need to use?

It just really depends... I use Truck/Van/SUV paint from advance auto, its never let me down! haha, i use it inside & out & it comes in some pretty nice colors... I also use that primer & clear & it dries really fast... i borrowed one of my friend's cans of paint @ his house when i did my front bowtie, so i dont really remember what it was... lol, its semigloss black w/ metallic flakes in it... ugh i hated those GM tags too, lol... i didnt know that the front bowtie came apart, so when I first painted mine 100 years ago, I painted the "chrome" black too, but it looked pretty good, i took some paint thinner to it & now my bowtie is black/chrome... lol, just a personal pref. i guess... lol
