How to Debadge
Ok Lets start off wit hthe tools needed.
1)Fishing String 2)Armorall Orange clean wipes 3)white rag 4)Blow Dryer Ok first off you have to take a 12" Fishing string and work it behind the letters. Be sure to keep it pulled up tight against the letter so you dont cuase any chaffing agains the paint. Work it back and forth to cut the letter away from the tape. After you get al lthe letters and chevy emblem broke loose, take your fingernail and pull off as much of the tape as possible. Then take the blow dryer and hold it against the paint for about 5 minutes to make the glue real gummy. Take the white rag and run it against the glue pretty hard. It will cause the glue to ball up with the rag fragments. Take the Orange clean wipes and clean it off. It take a few times of repeating the last threee steps to get it all off. Then take a cleaner wax and wax the whole trunk to get all the minor marks you might have put in it out. Last but not least, Use a good finishing wax and reaply to the trunk. Total time:: 55 minutes. Difficulty level. 3 P.S. Also works with the Small GM badges o nthe sides of the car. I'll try to get some pics of the finished product today and post them.

Thats what I mean. Its a level threee cause I'm a noob.... I'm still gettin use to the whole modding myself thing. I always got help with my civic but since this is a new car no one in my club has any expeirience with them so its just me to do all the work.

55 minutes did u do the whole trunk. I got the two gm emblems and the ls off in 15 minutes. If u want something that works real well use bug and tar removal u can get it at autozone. It works real good. Getting the black tape behind them was a b**** though.
Good writeup though

I did the whole trunk, and the gm badges. I didnt have any good solvents to take the glue off. Thats why it took so long. I was too lazy to go to the auto parts store to get any. As I progress with the car I will write more DIY's.
The other reason it was a level 3 dificulty was because of the tools I had were not the proper ones. The blow dryer was pretty wore out.

Thanks for taking the time to do a write up.
I found that if you use the blow drier on the emblems first (before attempting to take them off), until they are hot to the touch, you can remove the emblems and their tape backing together. The bigger emblems need the fishing wire assistance though. Then some wax/buffing to remove the little bit of glue that remains.
