i got a small pair of pliers and kinda "dented" or pushed the wheel well in and the lock pin is the same as the ones holding your black grill on the center piece pulls out to unlock it and then the whole thing comes out. i just pulled on the center piece and the whole thing came out. hope this helps

so i just did this the other day. is there any real benefit to it?

went to remove the rest of my airbox, and realized the idiot dealership bodyshop had hot glued my headlight assy. in place! DAYM!

Easiest Mod EVER! lol and brings a little throatier sound. just slightly tho. So what will the high flow filter i'm getting add to this mod?

lol.. sorry couldn't resist... But really that's just about it, I don't imagine the filter changing the sound any... BTW I jsut installed the Injen CAI... Blows this mod out of the water... You should just go for it...

Oh, I'm sure you'll get a little bit better MPG out of it as with any mods to the air flow or exhaust of your car. But you really won't ever notice much of a difference until you've done a bunch of them. To get the prime economy gains you've really got to get a whole new intake system, 2.4 mani swap, exhaust mani, downpipe, and catback before you will notice a big difference...
