Angry messed up!

so i messed up today doing the whole blacking of the tails. we used an ENTIRE can because we constantly re-layered it because the clear coat we were using made it look "fogged" so we finally stopped using the clear coat and it looked great. so now...i have four great looking lights and three *two reverse and one brake* horrible ones because we had to take all the VHT off one reverse. then we were doing it, and it looked like we could make it but whats this? the dew set it on my tails and ruined them. so im buying more tomorrow and im fixing it up right. i will have pics and wish me good luck on my second mod...

yeah nightshading could be a ***** some times.

what i did when i did mine was.

wash them really good with soap and water and let them completly dry.
Sand them a little bit with some hi grid sand paper
start nightshadig, light coats about 3-5 minutes apart.
did about 9 coats
let that dry for about 2 hours
scuffed the tail up again with some sandpaper
then clear coated it, i did 2 coats. Thick ass coats. You wanna do clear coats as thick as possible without having it run.

And if you need to get nightshade off something, rubbing alcohol and lots of elbow grease.

protection but it also makes it looks more glossy. not as dull.

so i got pulled over twice tonight, lol. i got a written warning from the State Troopers saying it was too dark that it looked like they werent on. which was bull, but its ok because they were a lil dark. then on the way home i got pulled over by the locals and before he could get up to the car i took my written warning from the Statie and handed it to em with my ID and stuff. prolly about...eh 200 yards from wal-mart and was going to get some goo gone. so he let me go with it too. going to do three shades instead of five, lol. i'll post pics of what it looks like with the five though.

cant wait to see pics!
seems a lot of people are having night shade issues lately. making me think twice about doing it. that and $30 for two cans, and $30 for shipping.

i havnt looked for it since i moved here almost a year ago. and no O'Reillys here. we just have the knock off autozone-schucks. the one time i went in there, i asked for STRUT spring compressors. so i thought i was clear.....jacked up my car and found out i had shock spring compressors. guess thats what i get for not checking before i left the store.
on the tint ive been thinking about leaving the tails red, not tinting windows, and painting my headlights yellow instead of black. what do you think?
