speaking of the ring of death...just happened to me 3weeks back....sent it in and got a refurb im sure (different serial #) and so far so good...didnt cost me a thing and the warranty is up i believe...isnt only 1 year or so after you purchase? if so its been about 18 mths

i have ne of those intercooler things on the back of my XBOX 360 it has 3 fans that suck the hot air out of the back of the XBOX

M$ extended the warranties on the 360s to 2 years i belive due to this problem

I just helped my roomie fix the RROD, it only cost about $3, woulda been less, but i didnt have any superglue. HAHA, if you wana know how to fix it, let me know.

It can be done, I seen a DIY on it. Very complicated but it works. I don't think it is permanant though.
