buts its not that simple, when it somes to the G in GUI...but you can dissable a lot of crap that runs in the background to lower that idle memory usage
There are just so many damn redundancies with Windows...Its crazy to think about all the wasted space in the OS's they put out now...Look at NT or 98...I had 64 MB memory and it ran just fine with 98 Second Edition.
I know its not that easy but it just makes me mad that to do a simple upgrade from XP to Vista would require a boost of at least 512 MB RAM for me just to idle it....run one program and my computer would say F U !!!...lol
