Arrow car crash

ok here is another fire fighter story... i dont know but i used to like to here about these... and it makes you think a bit before you do things and makes you realize wut can really happen to you.

so a few nights ago my pager woke me up at about 1:15am. it was toned out as a possible injury accident out on HWY ..... and HWY ......

i was the first company on scene. we saw a white 2 door car out in the corn field on its roof. when we went to walk out to it we saw fence that was not knocked down and it was pretty tall. the car most have gotten over it some how so we started searching for the point where the car made it out there.... about 200 yards up the road we saw a knocked down tree and fence... we approched the car and found that no one was in it.... first thing that popped into my head was he left the scene.... i was wrong we started searching the field and we did find a body. he was thrown from the car and landed in a bush and was unconcious (spelling haha) we borded him into the ambulance and he was transported to the hospital with injuries. his car flipped 2 times then landed on the roof and slid a good 150 yard on the roof out into the frozen corn field.

he must have been going pretty fast and hit a slick spot and spun.... so becareful out on the cold hard and icy roads... take care of your self this winter!

Thanks for the reminder! I think this is a good way to let people know that street racing and even speeding in general is not safe. Not saying that people are going to be speeding/racing in the winter but you just never know what can happen when driving.

A seatbelt almost killed me once...I was trying to undo it in a car upside down in the water but it was stuck, scared the hell out of me.....But I still wear one now....It would be foolish not to.

yeh most of the time it benefits people like my cousin who got sideswiped by a car goin like 45 and flipped atleast 2 or 3 times but came out of it without a scratch, when the cops and paramedics came they were looking for a body until they found out what had happened
