I've always been partial to the WRX, the build quality is just better. Also I'd shy away from a used Evo because there's a pretty darn good chance it's been abused.

I say EVO....The 4G63 engine is hella good...Those are the same engines used in a lot of forklifts....(granted they are built for torque instead of speed) they last a long time and stand up to abuse very well.

With any evo or sti, granted it used, You need to assumed its been ran like a cheap whore on sunday night. So imo, get the new wrx if you can. Try and stay away from those type of used cars cuz i've seen my friend get a used evo and blew up i wanna say the head gasget 2 weeks in. Soon after that was fixed the clutch and something else and he wasnt to happy.

Well that and i drove a brand new 08 wrx and O buddy, did i want that sucker. =>8^ D <--- bob

Wrx is my .02

I'd go evo too, I see way too many wrx's. I have found afew '04s and such that have very little miles on them, definitely would not be afraid of being beat on, have the same thing w/ the wrx, I see them running around being dogged everywhere, from the interstate to in a freakin parking lot.
