When I had my truck, I never had any problems. Got five tickets, got out of all but one of them. They key thing is to not be an ass to the cop. If you are respectful and act mature, that goes a long way with these guys. Around here in TN, I never had a cop be a total ass, because I was always polite. Even when I got pulled over on a BS ticket. Speed limit goes from 65 to 30 as you enter town. I've never been to this place before, so it caught me by surprise, and as I'm moving my foot to the brake to slow down, I see blue lights all over - 3 cops, speed trap. Great. I was polite, explained the situation, and he let me off. Of course, he also talked to me for about fifteen minutes wanting the details of my truck.

i prepaid the ticket, and didnt need to go to court, but when the file came up, the name didnt match, so i got my money back

I always seem to get pulled over just before I get deployed. The last time I got pulled over was 2 days before I was slated to go to Africa (Where I am now). I was late getting to base, and was going 80 something in a 35. Cops rarely sit on this road, and I usually have my radar/laser detector on. NOT THIS DAY! He gave me a ticket for 240 bucks, speeding, luckily not a reckless. I go to pay the ticket at the courthouse a few hours before I'm supposed to be getting on my flight. The officer hadn't filed the ticket in the 2 days, and since I was leaving the country for 6 months, they through it out. Talk about lucky.

I think thats how I avoid getting into accidents as well. I'm always on the lookout for the cops. Scanning all over the place. I look for them more than I do, say, pedestrians.

Hahaha. Yeah I get myself in alot of trouble for that too. My girlfriend complains to me all the time about driving too fast. Well, how fast is TOO fast? I mean, if they make a car able to go 100 some miles an hour, why is there a need for speed limits? All they do is get me into trouble, with the law AND my old lady.
