I was in NJ two years ago, doing the speed limit (35mph) I was behing a van and there was a dodge avenger behind me, all of a sudden a cop flicks on his lights and the three of us pull over. He lets the other two go and keeps me.I asked him what I did wrong and he said i was doin 40.I didnt argue because it was my first time getting pulled over and i figured he go back to his car and write me a warning....so time goes by and he comes back only to hand me a ticket. He walks away and drives off. I look at the ticket and it ays I was doing 14 over in a residential area. I was pissed, and it was $100 too. I didnt fight it tho because the court date was scheduled for a wednesday in the middleof the school day, and at the time connecting states didnt transfer so i was only looking at the fine, if I would have fought it i would most likely have gotten a PBJ and it wouldnt have been worth it.....but yeah i hate thoose kind of cops as well

i've only had one bad experience. I bought my 2.0 in pennsylvania, and live in jersey. So I go to DMV to register the car and transfer my license plates, put the back plate on at the dmv, but since pa doesn't require a front plate (nj does) there was no holes in the bumper. I live about 6 miles away, so figure I'll go home and drill the holes and put it on. So I get stopped on the same road as the dmv for no front plate. I explain the situation, tell the cop I literally just left the dmv, show him my credit card receipt and the receipt for the registration. goes to his car, comes back with a ticket and says "if you don't like it, fight it in court" and walked away.

Not all "Cops" are bad
THE FORGOTTEN COP
What would the average citizen say if it were proposed that Police Officers be assigned to a neighborhood which was inhabited by no one but criminals and those Officers would be unarmed, patrol on foot and be heavily out numbered? I wager that the overwhelming public response would be that the Officers would have to be crazy to accept such an assignment. However, this scenario is being played out in all areas of the country We are Correctional Officers. Not Guards (who are people that watch school crossings). We work at minimum, medium, and maximum-security correctional facilities. We are empowered by the state to enforce its penal laws, rules, and regulations of the Department of Correctional Services. In short we are Policemen. Our beat is totally inhabited by convicted felons who, by definition, are people who tend to break laws, rules and regulations. We are outnumbered by as many as 50 to 1 at various times of our workday and contrary to popular belief, we work without a side arm. In short, our necks are on the line every minute of every day. A correctional facility is a very misunderstood environment. The average person has very little knowledge of its workings. Society sends it’s criminals to Correctional Facilities and as time passes, each criminal’s crime fades from our memory until the collective prison population becomes hordes of bad people being warehoused away from decent society in a place where they can cause no further harm. There is also the notion that prison inmates cease to be a problem when they are incarcerated. Correctional facilities are full of violence perpetrated by the prison population against the prison population and facility staff. Felonies are committed daily but rarely reported. They are called “unusual incidents” and rarely result in criminal prosecution. Discipline is handled internally and, as a rule, the public is rarely informed of these crimes. In the course of maintaining order in these facilities, many Officers have endured the humiliation of having urine and feces thrown on them. Uncounted Correctional Officers have been kicked, bitten, stabbed and slashed with home-made weapons, taken hostage, murdered and even raped in the line of duty, all while being legally mandated to maintain their professional composure and refraining from any retaliation which could be the basis for dismissal from service. In addition to these obvious dangers, Correctional Officers face hidden dangers in the form of AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B and C. Courts are now imposing longer sentences and the prison population is increasing far beyond the systems designated capacity. As the public demands more police on the street, governments everywhere are cutting police in prison where violence reins supreme, jeopardizing all those working behind prison walls. Although you will never see us on “911” or “Top Cops” we are Law Enforcement Professionals. We are the “FORGOTTEN COP,” hidden from public view, walking a dangerous beat, hoping someday to receive the respect and approval from the public who “WE SILENTLT SERVE.” |

That doesn't always work, I knwo first hand. I had an MIP that the officer totally fudged, mis recorded my name, address and phone number. Even messed up my social. Went in to see the judge and informed him of this. He said it didn't matter it was just a piece of paper to get me in here and took down the correct information. Next time, I just won't go... lol

well your luck is a little worse, but i f'n hate the cops in london, oh. thats where my parents are. anytime i go to visit them, i get harrassed by at LEAST 3 cops at once. i had a cop cut me off in the middle of town just to pull me over, minding that i did NOTHING. i pay close attention to speed and what not. everytime i've gone back since november, i've been pulled over.
my girlfriend says over in bellbrook, its even worse. F THE POLICE!!! haha jk, my uncle is the chief of police in wadsworth.
