What is going on

Seriously what is going on in this world? I was leaving my class and stuck in some major traffic and there were cops flying by me...well my boyfriend calls me and is like are you ok? i was like umm yea why? he said there was a guy with a gun on campus....are you serious? why are people shooting everyone in class?

I think all the nasty chemical buildup in peoples brains that they leave untreated has finally reached critical mass. That, paired with the fact that poor, lonely, unbalanced people have noticed the kind of attetion the people before them have gotten by shooting innocent people at a public institution. Granted some people are just ****ed up, but i think alot of them were just terribly lonely. I get the feeling sometimes, but remember that there are things here i have to do. Sure, 98 percent of life is total shit, but isnt that what makes the last 2 percent truly worth living for?

Ever since Virginia Tech, there have been copy cats running around. Most you don't hear about because no one gets shot and killed. The blood baths are the ones that we hear on the news. Happens all the time! No school is safe and that's the sad part. Elementary schools all the way to colleges. All you can do is watch your back and think quick! I'm a teacher and it's scary! We have drills just in case something like that should happen. Sickening!

The media has nothing to do with how parents raise their kids and the values that are instilled in them. The people that kill and shoot up schools have issues. They are not the norm. They don't sit home and watch channel 7 news and then decide to shoot up a school. They have psychological issues to begin with and no one to help. You always hear "he was a loner" or "i've seen him around but never talked to him because he keeps to himself", "he seems angry", there's always a sign before hand but not much anyone can/or is willing to do! The media has nothing to do with it! The media doesn't raise kids... parents are suppose to and are lacking in the area more and more!

Agreed. I think the media had nothing to do with it. And im going to strike pre-emptively, and discourage anyone who is thinking about blaming this on video games lol.
