Well that's not to bad. I'm pretty lucky, for now Amber gets up with the baby and even when I've gotten up she's like "go back to bed, you need to be up in a couple hours"

I thought trans coolers were only for heavy duty pick-ups and SUVs, didn't know the Cobalt had one. Also, how does one add an engine oil cooler?

Nearly every vehicle with an automatic transmission has one - it's a separate loop in the radiator. It works well enough for a stock car, but once you get into situations where you'll be keeping the trans hot (towing, road racing), you need a dedicated cooler that works far more efficiently.

Some oil coolers are external - most factory ones that I've seen are right where the oil filter is.
