1969 stingray w/427 sexy cars! I was thinking of buying one before I got my 71' lemans and my buddy told me that they're too expensive to rebuild....I laughed in his face and told him "that's what you get when you buy an old car!". Needless to say He didn't like that too much

They still lose value quickly. You can get C5s for the high teens and low 20s now. C6s for low 30s. They don't hold their value as well as their European or Japanese counter parts. It will be interesting to see how the ZR1 holds the value compared to the Audi R8 which is identical in price. My bet is on the Audi.

I think the value of cars is obsolete when you love the car. I wouldn't put a price on a car that i wouldn't plan on selling and even if I did I'd get good use out of it befor i sell it

Absolutely. If you love the car and plan to keep it forever resale value means nothing.

I'd have to say the interior on the Corvette is much closer to the Cobalts then say a Mercedes and for the 70k for the Z06 or 100k for the ZR1 I'd expect more, but there isn't a car made by GM that doesn't have a crappy interior. Including Cadillac.

I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet, so here's the cover... Rather large, so they're thumbnails. Feb of 2008. I'm going to gather some specs. later.

Go buy the Feb 08' Car and Driver, there is a whole article about it. Everything is still somewhat loose but for sure it will be around 100k, have atleast 100hp per liter, run under 4 seconds to 60, top-speed of over 200, and run 11's or lower stock.

Ferrari and Lambo look out, they're all going to get spanked by a car belted out of an American factory. :D
