Instrument Panel Issues

I have a 2009 Cobalt LT. Recently my instrument panel will quit working along with my power steering. I replaced it..same issue. I've had both brains replaced, fuse box replaced. I've unplug the radio (suggestion from another forum) unplug the power steering module, another suggestion. Still it will work for a bit then everything shuts off, speedometer, gas gauge, cruise, power steering. HELP!

You had the BCM replaced? If so this means the dark green wire that the low-speed GMLan travels on must be touching somewhere to ground. Check your harness from IP to BCM.

You are losing GMLan communication and probably had a bunch of C**** codes. It will be a small dark green wire.

pin #18 & #36 on the BCM

Maybe check the ground under the driver's seat too, make sure it's corrosion free.

The bcm wasnt change as I thought. They did check the ground it was OK for a minute. The ignition switch was not letting me remove the key so they did something now can turn ignition and pull the key out with car running. Still instrument panel goes crazy. Getting harder to start every time now. My mechanic doesn't know. I believe it was the pcm that was replaced and the fuse box also. This car is our bread and butter. It makes our money. Husband uses it for his job, no car, no income.
