FE5 Struts

Hey guys, I have noticed that alot of ppl have upgraded to the FE5 struts, I was wondering what kind of struts are found on my 2.4 SS/NA and if it's worth getting the FE5's for the eibach sportline drop kit.

if you are running sportlines you are going to need struts at some point in time... honestly there are better after-market ones out there than the GM FE5 ones. The only way to find a set of FE5's for cheap is going to be to get a used set... and those aren't any better than the ones you are running now.

Only aftermarket struts I recall are Koni's but they aren't struts, they're inserts that require you to cut your old struts apart. I've been on my FE5's for about 14,000 to 15,000 miles and they are perfectly fine still. My only complaint is above about 80 mph they just arent stiff enough to control excessive body movement.

Just curious....check the serial number on your engine (on the oil filter housing) -- is it the same as the last 7 of your VIN?
