Arrow Rear Alignment?

Hey everyone

I just had an alignment done on my Cobalt today. It's a 2007, 4-door LS. They gave me a report of the alignment and everything is now within range except for the toe in my rear left wheel. The specified range is between -0.03 degrees and 0.28 degrees. Mine is at -0.06. The mechanic told me that there is no rear wheel adjustment in the Cobalt and that the reason it is a little bit off could be that I bent something minor by hitting something. He said that it's really nothing to worry about at all, especially since it is off by so little. The car seems perfectly aligned, the steering is perfectly centered, and there's no pulling. It's handling well and everything. I'd like to know your opinion on this and if a rear alignment really can't be done like the front end.

Thanks

the rear can be aligned, but it is such a minor alignment, that it is only worth doing it if it is really otta whack, like you travel down the road, and the vehicle dogtracks(more commonly found with trucks, when the rear wheels do not follow perfectly the straight line path of the front). If it seems alright, dont try and fix something that aint broken, if it seems fine, just run with it.

I performed a 4 wheel alignment to my car after I lowered it. In order to align the rear you have to use full contact shims for a cavalier and you have to grind out the shim a little where the bolts/studs go through. Its also important to place the shim directly between the rear axle and backing plate. That way the drum and shoes will be properly aligned. However as cobaltkrazy with your numbers I wouldnt worry about it.

two thirds of our out-of-city roads are gravel, and it takes the province almost a month to get rid of the rural potholes, then it rains next day, nd they are back.
