SS/SC springs on LS Cobalt

I am looking into buying SS/SC springs for my base model LS Cobalt and was wondering how much of a drop it would give me from its current ride height? or would I just be better off buying eibach or another brand name spring??

Rear SS/SC springs will only lower the LS about 1/4" -- that's it. If you use them it will make car sit a little lower in the rear and make the wheelwells look more even -- won't have the "off-road" look in the rear. If you want to lower your car more you'll have to go aftermarket.

No, using the factory GM SS replacement springs will not void your warranty. Keep your sales receipt to show they are genuine GM springs if it becomes a problem. A dealer will not know the difference if you remove the color tag anyway. There are no "GM Approved" lowering springs.

when i worked at the stealership i asked a guy about what voids warranty... he said that anything you do will void the warranty in some way even putting the wrong grade gas in it... but it will only void that perticular area... if you put in aftermarket springs then they will not cover the springs or anything that haveing them may have damaged...
