New wheels... fixed my way.

I originally bought a set of 17" wheels off a guy for around $300(came with tires that will last a few months). Only problem was the guy had painted them with that dupli-color wheel paint...

So I thought to myself... I'll just strip the paint off and sand/polish the wheels myself.

This is the stuff I used:

and what it looks like being used(on skin this stuff feels like someone touching a red hot poker to you):

So I finally got the tires back on the wheels... and the wheels on the car. I think they look pretty well, although I'll have to take some pictures when it isn't rainy, and when the wheels aren't dirty:

p.s. Please forgive me... I know how bad the car needs a 2 inch drop now that I've got the new wheels on.

looks great and its wierd, bigger wheels really bring out the gap. I remember going to 16's on my LS and it looked even higher, granted it was cause I did increase rim size but gap is what i mean.

Yea, most ppl don't realize that just cause you're putting bigger rims on doesn't mean the gap is gonna be any smaller.

I really like those wheels on your car man. It's gonna look great once it's dropped

Thanks guys, for how much work I have in each one of those wheels... I sure it's around 12 hours or more for each.

Had to remove 3 layers of paint(charcoal black, clear, and original silver). Was surely a pain in the you know what, but I'm glad I did it now. If you look closely enough you can tell the inside of my lug nuts are rusted partially... and one of the tires has a small gash in it from the local shop remounting them(I'll need new ones soon anyways). So I've already got a few things I gotta drop money into before the drop, but I'm sure it will happen in the next 6 months.
