I'm still nervous... Haha. There's a couple places around me that hold races all the time and my boyfriend and I plan on going, but it's still scary. ;)~ Good write up though. Thanks.

hey thanks for the staging etiquette tidbit - a good thing to know now before i went and tried the track. planning on maybe doing that sometime as there's a track just 10 mins from us that we need to take advantage of.

Is that an NHRA track? All the NHRA tracks around here require that, infact it's in the NHRA rule book.

and no tech inspection sucks, that means anyone with a junker can come and oil down the track when their piece of crap breaks. There are a couple tracks in this area like that but I tend to avoid them.

Glad it helped, if you have any questions feel free to ask. I've only made 1000 or so passes in my life. lol

Whats the best launch rpm for a 2.4 5spd on stock pirelli tires? Also I have a torque damper. I'm going to the track soon. I tried launching 2500-3k on the street it felt alright but like your guide said it will be diff so maybe those are perfect?

It really depends on what kind and the size of the tire/rim. But i usually lower my 225/40/18 Nitto neo-gens to about 27psi
