Part 4.....Lunch.....Mustang

I arrived in time for the morning break. We were all sitting at the break table swapping weekend lies when I told the story of my little “dream”. I got a couple of laughs and a few head shakes.

The morning went by quick and before I knew it,….. Lunch time!!! I grab my keys and head out to the parking lot trying to decide where to go. I get to my car and hear someone rev their car behind me. I turn around and see Thomas and one of his buds in his new Mustang.

“I heard these little cavabolts can dust M3’s” he sez with a little attitude

“Well, just the one” I reply casually

“One what?”

“Just the one M3”

“Too bad it was just one of those faggy euro cars and not one of these” as he Revs his engine. I gotta admit I did like the sound of his car nice and throaty.

“Ummm, okay…….” I said as I point my FOB at the car.

“HAHAHA, look at your car its even got a big ol’ ricer wing on the trunk”

“Yep, GM gives everyone a tool set so they can remove it for tailgate parties”

“Really?”

“Ummm, no I was merely agreeing that the wing is rather large.”

“Whatever, you shoulda got a muscle car instead of a wannabe”

He revs the engine and drops the clutch, to give me a little exhibition of acceleration. I shake my head and think to myself, “What a maroon.” Yes, I said maroon, Bugs Bunny is cool.

I start up my car and make my way out of the parking lot. Looks like Thomas was waiting for me. I look at the rear of the mustang and I see one silver tipped exhaust and no GT on the trunk. V6? Who's the wannabe now? The street cleared and he waited just a while longer and revved his engine again. What’s he planning? The streets clear why ain’t he leaving? He waited just long enough for the light to be red when we got there. He points out his window indicating to me to take the next lane. I oblige and roll down my window.

“The second pole is ¼ mile.” He revs the engine one more time

I look ahead, behind and both directions, everything seems deserted, a lone tumble weed passes before us. Glancing down the radio sez 12:00. You gotta be kidding me, I have to laugh. Faintly, I think I hear Bon Jovi coming from his car…..

I'm a devil on the run
A six gun lover
A candle in the wind

The light turns green, I launch, he spins and it was over just like that. By the time I reached the pole I was a few cars out front. I slow down and wait, he looks over with a WTF look on his face. I just shrug my shoulders and listen for the music as he speeds off………

Shot down in a blaze of glory
Take me now but know the truth
'Cause I'm going down in a blaze of glory

Classic lol. I hate mustangs. Mostly because just about every person in America owns one, and normally its the V6. Then of course you have your stock 5.slows that think they own the road. I'll give credit to the fast ones out there but most rustangs are owned by complete dumbasses. In fact, i raced a 03 V6 on the way home from the dealership when i got my 2.4. Poor boy never had a chance.

Mustangs seem to be carrying vast amounts of the deathly incurable disease of pompous arrogant dumbass'ness
