I quite litterally can't afford either really. And I was raised around dirt tracks, watched racing nearly all my life (thanks dad). You can take the track from the driver, but the race goes on forever...
wow... thats all i have to say...

Dude lay off, anyone can have their own opinion. Sure there are nice civics out there, but how many do you actually see on a regular basis? As for me, i have YET to see a decent one around where i live. The only ones i see look awful, mismatched paint, hundreds of stickers, riding on spares, giant aluminum wings, and a fart can the size of your head.

They dont really get any good representation, the nicest ones you see anymore are fresh from the factory. It seems like the goal of people is to turn them to shit the second they get one. Add that to the fact that most of their drivers you find are total pricks and think theyre the hottest shit on the road, you dont get a very well thought of vehicle.

Tell him his Civic is still a little piece of Japanese crap no matter how much power it's making.

Also you and the Civic owner are the ignorant ones, anything over 300 whp is reaching the point of stupidity for a front wheel drive car. Ever notice how real performance cars are RWD or AWD?

another ignorant comment. good lord. please tell me off hand what the fastest awd car is... correct me if im wrong but its a 2g tsi and its only in the 8's the fastest fwd car is a ecotec funny car that drops mid 6's so that throws your argument out the window. not to mention my friends civic is not a street car its just a track car that he uses for bracket racing.
this is my buddy gary gardellas myspace page please add him and tell him that he is not driving a real performance car. "he owns the fastest ecotec drag car on this planet."
MySpace.com - Gardella Racing - 28 - Male - HOWELL, NEW JERSEY - www.myspace.com/gardellaracing

this is my friend simon he owns beeyond engineering he is the owner of that civic. let him know he is a rice to while your at it.
MySpace.com - Beeyond ENG - SIMON!!! - 21 - Male - MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - www.myspace.com/beeyond

I don't care if your friends waste of a time civic is faster then my cobalt,I am not building my cobalt for the tracks just so it can sit in the garage for the winter time.Thats what a RWD vehicle is for, where I can sink in at least 7grand into and get more power for the money, your friend put in at least over 20grand,just so he can have 800hp,A civic doesn't magicly have a 300hp engine fresh from the market, never will happen since they're meant for the economy not for drag racing. The cobalt has way more potential then a civic. You're the ignorant one bringing up shit that your friends have this or that and it can do this blah blah blah.Only ricers think highly of their civics.I don't think highly of them because they're not worth my time of even adding jack and shit to it.The only cool picture I see and could respect is your one buddies vehicle that has the fastest ecotec drag car.

your so off base its not even funny .. how could a car that cant be tune have more potential. how about the new ss/tc that is maxed out from the factory. or the ss/sc that when fully bolted and tuned cant break 300 hp with out boost juice... your wrong. the only thing that has even a glimmer of more potential is the fact that the ecotec block is good for 1500 hp. U LOSE!

I can't believe we are arguing civic vs cobalt. They both are retarded if you want gobs of hp because they are FWD and totally unusable on the street at giant power levels. Both the ecotec and B series K series whatever civic engine you want to use can be made to hold tons of power. We all know this, well I do and I suppose blackbalt, and a hand full of others do anyway, but what's the point? You either have to run so much boost it's not streetable or you have to run sky high compression where you end up with the same result. Did I mention they are FWD?

I heard a great tuner once say "any real car guy will have figured out after the first month of owning a FWD car he screwed up." No truer statement has ever been uttered. FWD is great for a commuter car, if you want to make some real power, skip it.

Give me something with a LSx and RWD for my monster drag/street car. eh I already have one of those too, so I'm set. I know blackbalt figured it out when his girl got a GTO, and Nighthawk figured it out. I'm sure the rest of you will too if you haven't already. RWD + hp =FTW!

This is apparently something you like to do while on the forum it seems.I already know that any car has to be tuned,I wasn't born yesterday professor.I am not trying to accomplish of pushing my car to 800hp.if I want all that power, like I sad I will get a RWD muscle car.
