Give me something with a LSx and RWD for my monster drag/street car. eh I already have one of those too, so I'm set. I know blackbalt figured it out when his girl got a GTO, and Nighthawk figured it out. I'm sure the rest of you will too if you haven't already. RWD + hp =FTW!
Yep, anything is better than front engine, front wheel drive for performance. I remember I used to beg my dad to drive his MR2 when I was in high school, what a fun little car. Mid engine has incredible balance even though the car was low powered, it was still a blast to drive. Scary at the limit though, once the backend steps out you have to be paying attention to save it. The GTO is sweet as hell too but a different driving experience than the MR2, both are raw and fun.

FWD is for the masses, easy to control, forgiving handling, cheap to manufacture, and not really a performance platform.

I remember seeing guys with their turbo Integras and Civics blowing up their motors on 7 lbs of boost. What for? To make 215 whp? Then they want to build up the motor with a peaky turbo to make 350 hp and be unreliable...sorry, the argument doesn't add up when you get into it. The handling balance sucks too, they're an understeer engineers wet dream.

These stories and ensuing arguments/ name callings can make my night by causing me to laugh non stop until i need to pass out for the night. So well, thank you to all the "twatwaffles" who cant pass up a good fight.

and hondas are reliable if youre willing to put in the wrench time, or pay someone to, personally i don't know about their speed capabilities.

As far as stock goes? Slow as hell. Sure some people would like to waste their time and make them run 8's, but that says absolutely nothing about the car. You could make a damn lawnmower run 8's with enough money. You have to judge a car how it comes off the assembly line, not how some loser with a huge wallet made it.

Like BlackBaltSS said, they can be fast if you spend the cash but so can anything. A ten second Honda is still a Honda at the end of the day. They were never designed to do what people do with them, imo, waste of time and money.

Honda should have just stuck to making motorcycles.

A great man once said..."Owning a 9 second Honda is kind of like coming out of the closet. At first you surprise everyone, but at the end of the day, and you all knew this joke was coming, YOU'RE STILL GAY!"

i never said stated that honda civics are "AMAZING CARS" i just said that there are extremely well build tasteful civics out there. there will always be ricers out there and it wont matter what car they buy they will slap a HUGE spoiler on the back, install hood scoops that dont work, and put an aggressive body kit on a car. i wont lie i pisses me off when i see some kid in a civic driving like he is in fast and furious and for every 1 nice civic there is 1,000 ricecars. so i do understand what you saying but props need to be given when earned.
