How Fast?

Hey guys (and ladies), I just bought 08 sport w/5 speed, love the car. I was just wondering what this thing will do in the 1/4 mile? Seems like this is the place to ask. Just to let you know, had a civic w/nerf launcher and a huge wing pull up next to me at a red light, 2 days after I bought it. Now I didn't want to run it real hard, only 200 miles on the car, but his lane ended and the only time you go to the right lane at this intersection is to pass. I hate being passed on the right. I decided I give it a little goose and see if this kid had anything or if it was all show no go. When the light turned green off we went, well off I went! then looking in the mirror I notice a 4dr Cobalt passing him too, laughed my a** off!

Depending on wheel hop, torque steer, and your talent as a driver, anywhere from 14.8 to 15.6

My quickest was 15.4 at 90 mph. For a stock 2.2 cobalt expect high 15's in the mid 80's

The manual trans cobalts are no slouches, provided the owner can drive. The autos are a whole nother story though, too much weight and too much power lost to the wheels.

By the way on that pass I beat out a 5.0 craptang, driver makes as big a difference as the car

I have to concur, driver makes a huge difference... I've munched a stang or two already, and I don't really any mods worth mentioning...
