A few stories
Im not usually one to post about my kills and deaths but in the past few days ive raced a substantial amount of cars. let me begin...
Well last Wed, me my gf, and my best friend were all in my car driving back from a party (i was sober) and another one of my friends came later and drove his own car. So its a Wed morning at 130ish and i live in the suburbs of tucson where the latest thing open is nicos and they close at 1030 lol so were crusin down this 3 lane highway at like 55 and my friend with a 97 Es 300 lexus drives up next to me and is just staying there trying to **** with me so i say whatever i put in 3rd and go. He has an auto so it was for me lol. so i slow up and he drives up next to me again, this time i wanna go slower because high roll races in a N/A 4 cyl are just no fun. we slow down to 40 and i go to second which is around peak RPMs i tell him to go and i was waiting for him to stall and go and when he did i floored it. i jumped head to head with him and we ran it all the way up to about 110 before i shut off and had about a fender. So he does a fly by and i catch up to him at an up coming lite. He slows down and so do i so we can do a dig. I told him on green to go. Once again i waited for him and then launched. Shitty launch but intake helped me uptop and i put almost a car on him by 80 or 90. So all in all that was a fun night, i wanted a low roll but whatever.
So last night we were at a party way out in the desert and my car was parked there and some peoople were kinda asking about it and what not and one of the kids told me that his buddy had a cobalt with all this shit done to it. I was like 'oh cool' and he told me it was REAL fast so i was like well someone has a ss/sc and im not about to get a fatal death lol so without me saying anything he calls him up and tells him to come out.....the kid had a 4 dr LS. with a catless exhaust and an intake i think. i didnt even bother looking, and he asked to run. i had been wanting to run a bolt on 2.2 cause everyone says they pull the 2.4s all the time so i said ill give it a shot. We roll out to that same highway except its only 2 lanes now and its in the middle of no where. my same buddy follows with his lexus and a few others come to watch. so were crusin about 15-20 and i looked at him and i honk one time and he just goes and i, quickly realizing he aint gonna wait, hit it too. So I hit the rev limiter and hit 2nd and am reeling him in, hes about 1 1/2 cars ahead of me and he shuts down. i was like wtf, i was doing about 60. So he turns into the circle K and everyone pulls in and i was like 'were only racing to 60?' he was like 'well i didnt think you were gonna catch me and whats the point of getting a ticket?' i told him i wanted to do a few more pulls from different speeds and after some peer pressure he gave in lol So we go back out and i explained that you wait for the 3rd honk. so were going about 20 again and i honk. 1-2-3. Im gone. I had put easily 2-3 cars by the time i shut off at 90. i slow down and he looks a little upset. i asked him what he wants he says from a dig. So we stop on this highway (stupid i know but it was 1 am in a hillbilly town) I honked again. 1-2-3. Once again i had a pretty shitty launch. lots of wheel hop caused me to let off for a second but that was perfect for him because when i got back on it we were side by side. after i got my RPMs to above 4k i pulled, hit 3rd pulled harder and shut off around 90 again. I still wanted a 40 roll and i asked him and he said no but i told him that with all his modds and shit he would prolly win and got him to race once more . 40 roll, i honk. 1-2-3. get on it, were side by side i hit 3rd and jump about half a car, i didnt wanna shut off so i kept going, hit 4th pulled about a 1/4 car more and shut off at 115 because he shut off (i think he is limited to 105.) So once again i had a pretty successful night and was pretty surprised at those little 2.2s i was afraid he would pull on me way up high like that because he has full exhaust and i have header and muffler. Ya so Driven home that night me and my friend with the lex did one more pull. about a 40 again. Pretty much same outcome, put about a 1/2-1 car on him and shut off at 105ish.
One more...
So driven home from work about 20 mins ago and i see what appears to be bone stock LT. Same color as mine and some dude driven it weaving in and out of traffic i say whatever and keep driving and he passes me and then slows down right next to me. I look at him, he downshifts and goes. I wasnt impressed, he was about 5 or 6 cars behind the peson in front of him and it seemed like forever for him to get there lol. i just keep driving and then he slows down again and i hear him downshift and is just driving there waiting for me. Were going about 55 and i just mesing around drop down to 3rd. As soon as he hears it he hits it again and i just put it back to 5th. lol one more time he slows down and as soon as he gets next to me, i drop it and go and leave him, unfortunetly there was someone in front of me. So i turn at the next street and so does he and does a fly by. I just wave. so the road turns to one lane and im behind him. we come to a stop and he goes to the turn lane and i go straight, roll down my window look at him, he looks at me, "Nice Color" i say and go lol. whatta day lol
