auto shift knob removal

Hey All,
I'm new to the forum and to Cobalts , and I tried to search for this but couldn't find anything. My question is , how do I remove the shift knob on the auto transmission, of a 2007 Cobalt LS?

Under the knob is a chrome cover that needs to be pulled down - no tools here - It helps if you twist it as you pull down (about 1/8th turn). Then there is a hex screw on the back (that the lower chrome cover hides) that you have to loosen to pull the knob up and off.
